Career opportunities

General information

Our increasing research platforms demands opening a number of new positions which we will fill methodically with the best available candidates.  In our experience new recruits require training before offering added value to the company, so new recruits are expected to be willing to undergo on the job training both within our company and in top laboratories abroad for periods of a few months if necessary.   The work is demanding because we work with and compete with the best in the world and exciting because we tackle some of the most interesting themes research addresses today. As a result, we offer an exciting work environment, a great bunch of colleagues spread all over the world, and a vision about what can be achieved by dedicated people, even in a small place like Cyprus. A necessary survival skill for both new members and the team at large is the ability to maintain the pleasant and exciting scientific work place, and keep smiling and being nice to colleagues.

Available positions

We are seeking well-qualified and highly motivated individuals to fill a number of research, technical and support-level positions. Ideal candidates must have good mathematics and computer programming skills that will put into good use after training with us and with our collaborators in some of the best laboratories in the world.

In our area, knowledge is always growing so we do not see positions as a fixed set of skills and tasks. Instead, we make jobs fit the best candidates that will apply, and together we help new members expand their skills and tackle problems that may have seem impossible to tackle a few months before. For this reason, the positions described below are indicative of the general needs that will be satisfied over a period of time. Candidates are invited to indicate areas where they can contribute that could straddle the boundaries of individual positions. Each new member will define its role together with senior members of the team on the basis of tangible progress during the initial training period in the first few months and the range of problems that need to be tackled.  Some positions provide opportunities for career progression and training leading to senior level positions and/or managing duties. Other positions provide stable and secure long term employment after successful initial training for challenging work in specialized areas. Overall, we are committed to ongoing personnel training and merit-based promotions.

All the positions require excellent knowledge (writing and verbal) of English language.
